What Fire Alarm Testing Needs To be Completed

The British Standard BS 5839 recommends that all fire alarm systems be serviced annually over a minimum of two visits.

Weekly testing should be completed by the responsible person and recorded in the fire log book, ideally this should be completed on the same day at the same time every week.

A manual call point should be operated with the test key using a different call point each week.

It is the responsibility of the building owner to ensure that testing is carried out on a weekly basis alternatively

Fire First can take over the responsibility of this managing the entire process
